Using the App
You can download the Alertifyre app from the iOS App Store or from the Google Play Store.
After you download and launch the app, click on ‘Register’ at the bottom of the screen. You will have to enter your Name, Email, and Password to create an account.
You need to set the following permissions on your phone for the Alertify app to work:
Go to the ‘Home’ screen in the app and click on ‘Add New Device’. This will allow you to scan the QR code on the back of your Button and specify a name for it.
Go to the ‘My Contacts’ screen in the app and click on the ‘+’ symbol. You can select up to 5 contacts from the list for notification.
The ‘Test Mode’ allows you to test whether your Button is working correctly without sending a text message to your contacts. When you’re ready to do a test, simply enable Test Mode in the app and then click your Button. You should see a local notification show up in the app if the Button is functioning properly. After you’re done testing, go ahead and disable Test Mode.
The Alertifyre app needs to be active for it to work, but it can run in the background. After launching the app and setting it up, you can simply go back to your phone’s Home screen and carry on with your normal activities. If you manually close the app, however, it will not be able to function properly.
Whenever you click the Button, the Alertifyre app sends your current GPS location to your contacts via text message. The app does not track, store, or use your location for any other purposes.
Using the Button
The Button is ready to use out of the box and requires no additional setup.
Simply snap it into the lanyard to wear it like a necklace, or into the wristband to wear it like a watch. Either option works!

No, the Button is small and light. It weighs about 5 g (0.2 oz) and is not much larger than the size of a quarter coin.
Yes, the button is water resistant and can be used even in the shower.
You can use it both indoors and outdoors. The Button needs your smartphone to work, so as long as your phone is within a reasonable range (75 ft indoors and 200 ft outdoors), you’re good to go. Note that doors, walls, and other interference may affect the signal and alter performance. To determine the usable working distance, test it where it may be used in your home environment.
